Stretchers

We can cut stretcher lengths to your specification at no extra cost. Please contact us for prices on specific lengths you require.
We have 4 common stretcher sections we use
• IF section- for smaller canvases -up to 22" (56cm)
• TQ section - for mid-range canvases -up to 48" (122cm)
• TT section - for larger canvases -up to 66" (168cm)
• EXTT section for extra-large canvases -everything over 66" (168cm)
• TQ section - for mid-range canvases -up to 48" (122cm)
• TT section - for larger canvases -up to 66" (168cm)
• EXTT section for extra-large canvases -everything over 66" (168cm)
Please note these are just the most common sections but we can make to your specification with various thicknesses available, we have made up to 60mm deep stretchers.
Canvases
All our canvases are stretched with a traditional 12oz cotton duck canvas which is then double primed with Cranfield Acrylic primer.
They are hand primed by brush which gives them a good "tooth", this can be lightly sand back if required.
We can do this on request at no extra charge
Our canvases are available primed or unprimed.

Our stretchers are made using only FCS or PEFC registered Quality Kiln dried timber which comes from certified 'chain of custody' sources, approved by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification and the Forest Stewardship Council ®, and conforms to strict guidelines on sustainability.
We make our stretchers from solid joinery quality timber; you will not find any finger joints in our stretchers which we guarantee so if they do happen to twist, we will replace the stretcher free of charge.
Listed are the section sizes most used but we offer variations on the off the wall depth of the canvas, this we can make up to 6cm deep. Please contact us for prices on any variations you require.
All stretchers are available with the face edge rounded or square at no extra cost.
